Week 10-12 Value: The lightness and darkness of a color

Students will be learning about value through the creative process.

Students start with a geometric shape of their choice. They then create a composition using that shape in a variety of sizes and through repetition.

Students then choose a color, either one of the provided primary colors, or create their own through mixing.

Students are then challenged to create 7 or more values of one color by adding either black (shade), white (tint), or grey (tone) to their color.
